Information You Submit
A name, location, or other term entered into a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. Randolph County Recent Arrests does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to answer it. We do not disclose that message outside the organization unless the law requires us to do so.
Automatic Technical Data
Standard logs and measurement tools can collect technical details when a page loads, including:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when available
- Date and time information
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. You may block cookies through browser controls, though some site features may then work differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected information supports limited operational purposes:
- Keeping the service available and responsive
- Sending search requests to the selected partner service
- Understanding which pages visitors find useful
- Detecting and correcting technical faults
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Websites Beyond Our Control
Links may lead to Randolph County jail rosters, booking resources, sheriff or corrections pages, government portals, and third-party search tools. After you leave this site, the destination’s privacy policy controls its collection and use of data.
Some advertising providers may track activity across websites to select ads. That activity occurs through their systems, not through an arrest-record database hosted here.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal information. Data may still be handled by:
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Analytics providers that measure site use
- Advertising networks that deliver ads
- Law-enforcement or government authorities acting under a valid legal order
Reasonable Security Measures
We use customary safeguards intended to protect information in our care. No website, network, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request its deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the limits of the data we actually hold, you may ask to:
- Receive a copy of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete eligible personal information
- Opt out of certain processing
Send a request through the Contact Us page. A request concerning an official Randolph County record must instead go to the government custodian that holds it.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this privacy notice as the site’s practices or legal duties change. A revised version takes effect when it is posted here with an updated effective date.
